Chris Pratt was once homeless in Maui – while that sounds rather odd, it’s strangely true. It sure is amusing how Jamie Foxx looks absolutely like himself when you look at these two pictures side by side. Calvin Harris is a producer and DJ well known by all these days, after his hit songs like Summer and This is What You Came For. But before becoming a household name, Harris was a struggling musician – and boy, did he look like one, too! Well, we aren’t saying he didn’t always have charm; we’re just saying he wasn’t packaged very well before his fame! His hair was scruffy and his look was simply unkempt – we think maybe he was too worried about his music than his image! We doubt Taylor Swift would’ve looked at him twice, let alone have a two-year relationship with him back then (they split in 2016)!

Josh Peck may look really young in the picture on the left but that’s because he was a child star, so he was just a kid when he got famous! Of course, this is about how much fame has changed celebs, but in Peck’s case, he was really famous from his childhood. But he did look totally different from the way he does now. Peck went on a diet and shed his extra weight, revealing a new man. In 2017, he married Paige O’Brien and in December 2018, he had a son with her. Today, he spends time vlogging on YouTube on a channel called Shua Vlogs.

Zac Efron took up acting when he was still in high school – he was a student of Arroyo Grande High School when he was making frequent trips to LA for acting auditions. It was only in 2002 that he landed his first appearance on TV – on Firefly, a short-lived series, but a start, nonetheless. Efron scored some work in 2003, but it wasn’t anything that gained him any recognition, except for bumping up his resumé a bit. In 2005, Efron made his big break with High School Musical, and he has been a star ever since! Stardom seems to have made him more handsome, too!

Tom Hardy had a rough start to his acting career, taking on a role on Star Trek: Nemesis as a villain, but not having the persona or the physique to carry it off all that well at the time. Well, the film went on nonetheless though it did not do well for the franchise, and audiences were left wishing for more than the bald and skinny actor had to offer. Things got better a couple of years later, with much of the credit going to his great acting in Inception of 2010. He beefed up and he was suddenly in demand! Well, from string bean to Hollywood beefcake – quite the feat!

Tom Cruise has certainly come a long way, but he was also a regular guy once upon a time. Cruise may be the one whose luggage is taken up to a luxury hotel and maybe even the penthouse suite, before his fame, he used to be the bellhop carrying the luggage of others! Cruise came as a clean slate into Hollywood scene in the early ‘80s and he starred in The Outsiders. But his career really took off with Top Gun three years afterward. Speaking of Top Gun, fans are rooting for the Top Gun: Maverick film, to be released in 2020 – also produced by Tom Cruise.

Dwayne Johnson - $220 Million

Dwayne Johnson grew up watching his dad Rocky Johnson wrestling in the ring, and he knew his maternal grandfather Peter Maivia was a professional wrestler too. But it never dawned on him to follow in either of their footsteps – despite 'wrestling' being in his DNA. Dwayne took on football, and while he had potential, an injury put an end to those dreams. He then was led to wrestling and by the ‘90s, he was a WWE mainstay. He then took to Hollywood and became a star-actor, and in 2017, there was the talk of Dwayne Johnson intending to run for President in 2020 - which he eventually confirmed. This guy sure has a lot going on!

If we told you that Katy Perry, born Katheryn Hudson, was raised conservatively, sheltered from the world, you would probably laugh out loud. Perry is famous for her pin-up look, bright and sparkly costumes, and her theatrics, so her parents being conservative preachers sounds rather strange! Perry grew up not being allowed to watch MTV and today, she features on the channel! In 2001, her debut was gospel music, but by 2008, Perry had everyone singing the lyrics to Hot n Cold, but we doubt mom and dad were impressed. Well, the girl has been raking in the cash big time so she must be doing something right!

Kourtney Kardashian - $35 Million

Of the Kardashian-Jenner clan, Kourtney may not score as high in earnings as her siblings, or even her mom or step-dad, but she is still worth a considerable amount in her own right. Kourtney apparently lost interest in dealing with her family and continuing the Keeping Up With the Kardashians reality TV show, as was confirmed in the first episode of season 15; but she still gets paid! Kourtney is an executive producer so it’s only fair, we suppose. She is the eldest of the Kardashian-Jenner children and most of her income comes from endorsement deals and Social Media.

Blake Lively is a star who has long been noticed for her talent, but somehow still has us guessing what’s going on in her life. She and her hubby, Ryan Reynolds, are notoriously private, even hiding the genders and names of their children and not posting pictures of them on Social Media. Blake didn’t always dream of being a Hollywood star, trying to protect her tots from the publicity’s scrutiny. In fact, she simply tagged along with her mom and dad when they went to teach acting classes. Maybe it was all fate because Lively has that kind of attraction about her that simply says she knows what she is doing!

Jennifer Lawrence is a girl who has it all put together. Nick Cannon is more than Mariah Carey’s ex-husband. He’s an actor, rapper, host, producer, and above all, a comedian. He is ever ready to take on anything Hollywood can throw at him. Cannon always had a funny bone in his body, and he exercised his humor in every aspect of his life. One could argue that he was born a comedian! In fact, when he once earned money by working in a hotdog drive-thru, Nick got fired because he would tell jokes on the microphone as customers waited for their orders. Given the birthname Tauheed Epps, 2 Chainz went to the North Clayton High School in Georgia and he spent his time playing basketball. That said, he actually graduated second in his entire class, which you wouldn’t expect. While in middle school, he did get mixed up in wrongdoings though, as he got himself arrested for cocaine possession and he was known for dealing marijuana as well – at the age of 15. Well, eventually, he was led to the path of music and he began gaining popularity as one half of Playaz Circle, a hip-hop duo. In 2012 came the release of 2 Chainz's first solo album and then he took on rapping full force.

Bruno Mars - $150 Million

Peter Gene Hernandez grew up in Honolulu, Hawaii, and he relocated to LA in 2003 to start up a career in music as ‘Bruno Mars.' Mars was dropped by Motown Records but managed to sign a deal with Atlantic Records by 2009 – the same year he co-founded The Smeezingtons. It was in 2010 that Mars began to see some fame and it came with the release of the singles titled Billionaire, and Nothin’ On You. Both the hit singles featured on Mars’ solo album, released in 2010.  Mars has been keeping busy, having launched his second Vegas concert residency in April 2019.

Writer, producer, and actress Rashida Leah Jones starred in NBC’s Parks and Recreation as ‘Ann Perkins’ and she received critical acclaim for the role. Yara Sayeh Shahidi was born in 2000 and she is an American actress who was killing the camera with cuteness right from before she could walk or talk! She is also an activist and into modeling. Shahidi gained recognition for starring as the older daughter on Black-ish as well as in the spin-off series. She also has film credits for the movies Imagine That, of 2009, and Smallfoot of 2018. In the ‘90s, Adam Sandler made it big by taking on roles of a comedic teenage nature and he carried them off really well, as he did on The Waterboy. He then went on to continue taking on the roles that featured him as funny and animated, like on Mr. Deeds and Click. When Sandler accepted parts that were meant to be carried out more maturely, he still failed at it and veered away from the basic persona he should have been delivering. Well, Hollywood has taught us by example that a slapstick comedian has a briefer career than a dramatic actor does! Fourteen of Sandler’s films have made the Box Office since 1998.

Ava DuVernay - $60 Million

Ava Marie DuVernay looks like a diva in both these pictures! She is a director, screenwriter, producer, film distributor, and film marketer – quite a handful of talents right there! In 2012, at the Sundance Film Festival, DuVernay grabbed the directing award for the US dramatic competition. The win was for her second feature film, titled Middle of Nowhere, and she was the first African-American woman to win that particular award. As a celeb, Jeter’s personal life and his relationships and affairs with other celebs have attracted quite a lot of attention from the media. In 2015, Jeter got engaged to modeling figure Hannah Davis, and they married in 2016 and had a daughter by August 2017. They had a second child in January 2019.

Halle Maria Berry is a star actress and she is bound to have acted in one of your favorite movies. Well, Seacrest made himself a household name and a familiar face with hosting the ever-popular American Idol, a show countless people tuned in to watch the talented singers in the nation dwindle down to one winner! There is no TV producer or actor who can contend with Michael Kirk Douglas! Christian Bale does show some resemblance to his younger self, but we find it hard to think a doe-eyed kid like this would grow up to be ‘Batman!' Bale is known for taking on the task of drastically altering his appearance to suit a role, like losing weight and an incredible amount of mass for The Machinist. His acting isn’t comedic but rather intense and he delivers best in a role that allows him to be fierce and bold. Each to their own, right – Bale is to action-drama what Adam Sandler is to Comedy! In 2019, fans look forward to seeing Bale on Ford vs. Ferrari as ‘Ken Miles’ in the biographical action/drama.

Jason Momoa - $14 Million

Jason Momoa is all over the celebrity news these days, like in 2019 for shaving off his beard and who knows what's next. But one thing we all have to really take a step back and understand is that Momoa is not new in the industry. He has been around since 1999! Yes, we know you fell in love with his character on Game of Thrones, and no, we don’t know how you missed him all the years before then! Only the most die-hard Pamela Anderson fans will know the truth – that she is a brunette. Yes, the peroxide Barbie doll that is Pamela has graced the screens with her bikini-clad body for the millions of eyeballs glued to the screens watching Baywatch.  But today, the blonde shares that she doesn’t even know if she has any grey hair strands because she keeps dying her hair out! Many will agree when we say that David Beckham is one of the most popular footballers in history. He is best known for his illustrious career with the national team of England. Kanye West started out as a record producer back in the early 2000s but he eventually established himself as a rapper. He lived a normal life growing up and as you can see above, he was sporting a different hairdo during his younger years. West dropped out of college when he was 20 years old because he really wanted to pursue music. Today, he is already worth $250 million and he is more than just a rapper. He has his own sneaker brand, clothing brand, and an architecture firm. He married Kim Kardashian in 2014 and they welcomed their fourth child together in May 2019.

Taylor Swift - $400 Million

Taylor Swift was only an innocent teenager when she became a star back in the mid-2000s. She always had a sweet image growing up but everything changed in 2017 when she released Reputation because she transitioned into a whole new mature look. Her hairstyle and glam have truly evolved and many people seem like they love the new Taylor. She never struggled financially growing up but today, she can proudly say that she has grown a $400-million fortune through hard work. In December 2019, you will be seeing her in the upcoming Cats movie.

Drake - $150 Million

Drake's fitness is so on point and he is a total hunk these days. Many girls are just crazy about him. But when he was younger, he was actually more of the dorky kid and we bet nobody really expected him to become a popular rapper when he got older. Drake started out as an actor on Degrassi: The Next Generation but he eventually stopped acting to focus on his music career. His breakthrough came when his 2010 album called Thank Me Later became such a huge hit. Since then, his name has often been seen on numerous charts. Drake confirmed in 2019 that he began working on a new album. 

Angelina Jolie - $100 Million

Angelina Jolie is truly one of the most beautiful actresses in Hollywood and it seems like her looks just keep getting better as she ages. As you can see in the photo above, she was already gorgeous during her teenage years but that was also the time when she got hooked on many vices. She also struggled with her mental health until her mid-20s. Acting and adopting a child were what really made her go on the right path in life. Jolie is still in-demand in Hollywood and she is set to star in Maleficent: Mistress of Evil in October 2019.

Justin Bieber was a young teenager when she was discovered by his manager Scooter Braun back in the late 2000s. He became a huge star after he released his EP called My World and many people often copied his hairdo and outfits. Today, he looks way different because he has tattoos all over his body and he styles his hair differently. He is also dealing with some pimple problems but it seems that it isn't really bothering him. Bieber has been off the market after marrying Hailey Baldwin in 2018.

Reality TV star Kem Cetinay rose to fame back in 2017 after he won on the show called Love Island. He can easily charm women, a trait that he's had ever since his childhood. In the early 2000s, singer Cheryl became known for winning on the talent search called Popstars: The Rivals. This led to her becoming a member of Girl's Aloud but she eventually found more success as a solo artist. Growing up, she was very fond of dancing and people were always mesmerized by how adorable she was.  She had big beautiful eyes, adorable dimples, and very nice teeth. She has bloomed into such a beautiful woman and this is probably why many men have fallen in love with her. Cheryl has yet to release a new album but she did release a new single called Let You in May 2019.

Harry Styles - $75 Million

Harry Styles made a good choice when he decided to join The X Factor because this was where One Direction was formed. Despite not winning in the show, they were able to become one of the most successful boybands of the 2010s. Styles has this whole new swag to him nowadays. However, he was just a regular boy when he was younger. He has bold fashion choices and he always turns heads on the red carpet. In 2018, he got into producing and was known for being the executive producer of Happy Together. Unfortunately, the show got canceled in May 2019.

Ed Sheeran - $110 Million

Ed Sheeran has been a big name in the music scene ever since releasing his very first album back in 2011. He was always such an adorable guy but his cuteness was on a different level when he was a young boy. As you can see above, he could easily melt your heart with his smile. He also sported glasses even then but it really suited him well. Sheeran was singing in his church's choir during his younger years and this eventually led him to write songs during his teenage years. He is set to release a new album in July 2019.

Snoop Dogg - $135 Million

Rapper Snoop Dogg has maintained the same hairstyle for decades so it's really weird to look at the photo above and see him with a very short haircut. Some of you might not have known this but he was actually quite the troubled teenager back then because he had a number of run-ins with the law. Getting into rapping has changed his life for the better and today, he possesses an impressive wealth of $135 million. A number of business ventures have also played a big role in how his fortune has grown over the years. Snoop Dogg has an upcoming album coming out called I Wanna Thank Me.

Leonardo Dicaprio - $260 Million

Leonardo DiCaprio started acting in the early '90s but his big break came in 1997 when he starred in the iconic movie, Titanic. Since then, he has been one of the biggest names in Hollywood and his fortune in the bank seems to be growing by the day. He had a very normal childhood and his good looks were already evident at a young age. Today, many people will agree when we say that he still looks like he is at his prime despite being in his mid-40s. DiCaprio is reportedly set to star in four new movies.

Eminem - $210 Million

Eminem is one of the most notable names in hip-hop. He became famous ever since he released his award-winning album called The Slim Shady LP back in 1999. When he was a teenager, he was never the popular kid and he was reportedly often bullied. He sported a very basic haircut and he didn't really look like he was going to be pursuing a rap career. Eminem discovered his talent in rapping when he was still a 14-year-old high school student but it took a lot of patience and hard work before he made it. In 2018, he released a new album called Kamikaze.

Vin Diesel - $200 Million

Vin Diesel has always been bald in most of the movies he has appeared in so the photo above shows you a completely different guy. He grew up in New York City and he spent a lot of time acting in theater productions. In the early '90s, he decided he wanted to get into mainstream acting but he only became known by many once he starred in The Fast and the Furious in 2001. Diesel still books projects left and right that earns him a ton of money. His IMDb page says he will be starring in six new movies.

Michael Jordan - $1.9 Billion

Michael Jordan is one of the most legendary players in NBA history. He won a total of six NBA Championships with the Chicago Bulls. Jordan was already quite athletic when he was younger and aside from basketball, he was also fond of football and baseball. In high school, he didn't make it into the basketball varsity team on his first try because he was "too short." Luckily, he grew after a year and was able to make it into the team. Jordan is already enjoying his retirement and he takes credit for being the first NBA star to have reached billionaire status.

Jim Carrey - $150 Million

Funny actor Jim Carrey first gained popularity for appearing on In Living Color but it was his lead roles in movies like Dumb and Dumber and Ace Ventura: Pet Detective that made him a star. He was already quite the comic when he was only ten years old and he even sent comedian Carol Burnett a letter saying that he should be on her show because he was a master of impressions. Carrey's contagious smile and goofy personality are what really separates him from other comedians in Hollywood. He is still busy today and set to star in Sonic the Hedgehog in 2020.

Lady Gaga - $300 Million

Lady Gaga looked very different before she became a star and this was probably because she sported brown hair back then. She is a natural brunette but it seems like she prefers to stay blonde. Gaga's album The Fame made her an instant star and her music has been appearing on different charts to this day. She has also established herself as an actress. Many of you were probably impressed by her performances in A Star Is Born and American Horror Story. Gaga is currently busy with her Las Vegas residency which will last until November 2019.

Oprah Winfrey - $2.5 Billion

Oprah Winfrey might be worth a whopping $2.5 billion but life was much, much different for her when she was younger. She dealt with a lot of problems growing up but she had never let it get to her. Some of her first few jobs were at a grocery store and at the WVOL radio station. People pointed out how poor she was back then so you could only imagine how they must be feeling today. Winfrey became a big name after the success of The Oprah Winfrey Show and today, she already has her own TV network, studio, and magazine. As an author as well, she just released a new book in 2019.

Marilyn Manson - $25 Million

Marilyn Manson is known for being the frontman of the Marilyn Manson rock band. He always had unique outfit choices and he was fond of wearing "gothic" makeup. He wasn't always like that because when he was younger though; he just looked like any other average American teenager. Manson made it big in the music scene in the '90s but he had prior experience working as a writer for a magazine called  25th Parallel. These days, he is already worth $25 million and his most recent release was his Cry Little Sister cover which was a part of the soundtrack of The New Mutants.

Peter Dinklage - $16 Million

Actor Peter Dinklage's first notable performance was on The Station Agent but most of you got to know him better for his award-winning role as Tyrion Lannister on Game of Thrones. As you can see above, he has always been such a trendy guy and it seems like he has never just sported a basic haircut. His style has always been evolving over the years and it's safe to say that he still dresses well despite being in his late 40s. Game of Thrones ended in May 2019 but Dinklage is set to star in five new projects.

Susan Sarandon - $50 Million

Susan Sarandon surely has some serious anti-aging secrets because she has maintained her beauty quite well over the years. The photo above shows you how angelic her face has always been and she has eyes that you can stare at for days. She first entered the acting scene in the early '70s and she eventually managed to give award-winning performances in movies like Dead Man Walking and The Client. She is 72 years old as of today but retirement isn't in her plans yet. Sarandon will star in a film called Blackbird.

Tom Hanks - $400 Million

You might not recognize Tom Hanks in his old photo you see above because of the long hairstyle he once had. He has been sporting a short cut ever since making it big in Hollywood but going long actually suits him well, too (well, maybe back then during his teenage years).  Hanks mentioned in an interview once that he was the "geek" back in the day and he was very far from being popular. He started becoming a busy actor in the '80s but only became a star after the award-winning performances he had in '90s movies like Philadelphia and Forrest Gump. Hanks has seven upcoming projects.

Amy Poehler - $25 Million

Amy Poehler started appearing on Saturday Night Live back in 2001. Many will agree that she is naturally talented in making people laugh. When she was younger, she had a funky hairdo and we wonder if she actually regretted styling her hair that way for her yearbook photo. She has a more sophisticated look these days but she still manages to maintain a youthful glow at 47 years old. In 2019, Poehler starred in a new movie called Wine Country and she reportedly has a voice role in an upcoming show called Duncanville.

Madonna - $850 Million

Madonna became an icon in the music industry back in the '80s. She has been making music for decades now and she is still very active to this day. In fact, she is set to release a new album called Madame X. Madonna has been a blondie for so many years already but what some of you might not have known is that her natural hair color is actually dark brown. The photo above shows you how she looked like back then when she was still rocking her brunette look. It looks like she prefers not to go back to being a brunette ever again.

Bill Gates - $99.6 Billion

If you look at Bill Gates' photos from when he was younger, you can assume that he has always been a smart guy. There was just something about his glasses and innocent face which made him look like he had big plans for the future. Gates is popularly known for being the brains behind the Microsoft Corporation. He spent decades as the big boss of the company but he already stepped down back in 2014. He is now the company's technology adviser and living such a great life judging from his current, jaw-dropping fortune of almost $100 billion.

Samuel L. Jackson - $220 Million

Samuel L. Jackson is one of the many actors who has been sporting a shaved head for so many years now. However, it appeared that he didn't have a completely shaved head back when he was in high school. During that time, he was a part of the school orchestra and he played instruments like the flute, French horn, and piccolo. Jackson devoted most of his time to pursuing acting in the '70s but he only became a household name in the '90s. Today, he is very much in demand and has six upcoming projects.

Meryl Streep - $90 Million

Sean Connery’s acting career began in the ‘50s, with him being cast in several UK TV shows and films. However, it was in the ‘60s when he landed the James Bond role that he found the fame he was trying to find! He continued the role thereafter with films like Thunderball and Goldfinger and gained immense popularity as he went on. He sure did rise from a poor kid somewhere in Scotland to become a huge star in Hollywood! He dropped out of school at 13 and joined the military. We are glad he found his way to show business though – it wouldn’t be the same without him! He went into retirement after 2003.

Eddie Murphy - $160 Million

Comedian Eddie Murphy was working as a part-time store clerk while he attended Nassau Community College before he ventured into acting. In spite of his job at the time, he would still find the motivation to perform standup comedy whenever he could, at local clubs. Eventually, his persistence and hard work paid off when he landed a spot on the late-night comedy show Saturday Night Live. His work on the show thrust him into stardom and allowed him to transition successfully to films. He was cast for roles in many blockbusters like Dr. Dolittle and Shrek. In 2019, he will be starring in the film Dolemite Is My Name.
