A couple of months ago, the public was rocked with the shocking news of an alleged affair between Jordyn Woods, best friend to the reality star Kylie Jenner, and the Canadian basketball player Tristan Thompson, who was then in a relationship with Jenner's older sister Khloe Kardashian.
The news left a huge rift between the two longtime friends. While the incident didn't seem to tear them apart completely, it seems like their friendship has a new dynamic now as Jenner realizes new things about their relationship.
Not-So-Healthy Relationship
Woods and Jenner reportedly met in 2012 before they started high school. They were introduced to each other by Will Smith's son, Jaden.
According to a Us Weekly report, the 21-year-old billionaire now realizes that her close friendship with Woods was not that healthy in hindsight.
Apparently, the best friends had become co-dependent with each other and she ended up not seeing the other people she has in her network. In the end, though, the source told the publication that Jenner still cares about her former best friend and that she is only sending positivity her way. Still, it might be too soon to tell if they'll be able to reconcile fully, the source says.
In a conversation with her older sister on an episode of 'Keeping Up With the Kardashians', Jenner also expressed how she thinks her friendship with Woods actually held her back from experiencing life.
Describing her as a security blanket, the mother of one said that there's a part of her that feels the need to grow without Woods. She also said that there can be people who are meant to be there at certain times in her life.
Moving Out
Woods has since apologized for what happened between her and Thompson.
Before the affair was revealed, Jenner and Woods were actually living with each other. However, it was only three months after the news broke that Woods was able to move her belongings out of the beauty mogul's home. According to sources, the move took that long because Jenner was 'super chill' about the matter.
However, other members of the Kardashian-Jenner clan weren't as understanding and took offense on the situation. As a source told, TMZ the family thought Woods' keeping of her belongings in the house was disrespectful and it was as if she was using Jenner's place for storage.
Growing Apart
Her stint on the show is also her acting debut.
In the end, it looks like it's not just Jenner who's looking to grow apart from her former bestie. Since their falling out, Woods has been busy with business ventures and other opportunities in an attempt to show people that she isn't using the Kardashian-Jenner clan's name any longer.
She's launched her very own line of size-inclusive activewear called SECNDNTURE. What more, she's also scored an acting gig on the Freeform comedy show 'Grown-ish'. Woods played a freshman student named Dee on the episode.
